Vol. 489 No. 6

Written Answers. - Local Authority Housing.

Jim Mitchell

Question:

485 Mr. J. Mitchell asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the reason for the delay in approving Dublin Corporation's proposals for a housing development by NABCo at Rutland Street, Dublin 1; if his approval has been given to the project; if so, the amount approved; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8617/98]

An application from Dublin Corporation for approval to the making of a loan of £817,087 to NABCo for the provision of 17 dwellings at Rutland Street under the rental subsidy scheme was approved on 24 March, 1994. An application for a significantly increased loan approval in respect of revised proposals was received recently from the corporation. Additional information has been sought in respect of the project and, when this is received, the matter will be dealt with as quickly as possible.
