498 Miss Coughlan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when progress will take place on the allocation of funding for the Glencolmcille sewerage scheme, County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8748/98]
An application has been submitted to the European Commission for Cohesion Fund assistance for the Donegal Bay wastewater management scheme, which includes the Glencolmcille sewerage scheme. While the Commission has indicated in discussions that the planning stages for some schemes included in the overall application will be approved for Cohesion Funding, this is unlikely to include the Glencolmcille scheme.
