Vol. 489 No. 6

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Andrew Boylan

Question:

648 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation the reason his Department has not made payment under the recreational facilities scheme to a club (details supplied) in view of the fact that such moneys were sanctioned by a previous Minister for State; and if he will make payment forthwith. [9105/98]

A grant of £8,000 was allocated to the club in July 1997 under the sports capital programme. In line with standard procedures, payment of the grant is subject to the club providing specific documentation and information confirming that the development carried out complies with the terms and conditions of the programme. When all these details are submitted and found to be in order, payment will be made.
