Question:666 Mr. Spring asked the Minister for Education and Science the plans, if any, he has to provide a legislative basis for the teacher education centres being established at various locations around the country. [8582/98]
Written Answers. - Education Centres.
As part of the process of consultation on the Education Bill, my Department has received representations relating to the desirability of placing education centres on a statutory basis. I am at present considering bringing forward an appropriate amendment to the Bill, when it is discussed in committee, which would address such issues as establishment and recognition of the centres and related issues.
