677 Ms Clune asked the Minister for Education and Science the figures available on the amount of teaching days per annum lost to pupils in both primary and secondary schools as a result of in-service training and other business which cause teachers to be absent from their classrooms. [8593/98]

My Department does not maintain databases of information which would enable the information sought by the Deputy to be provided without the application of an inordinate amount of resources which could not be justified.
