735 Ms O. Mitchell asked the Minister for Education and Science if a school (details supplied) in Dublin 16 will be considered for developing school status in view of the fact it is located in a rapidly expanding area and is forced each year like many schools in south County Dublin to refuse entry to local children; and if he will make a statement on the matter. A request was recently received from the managerial authorities of the school to which the Deputy refers seeking the conferral of developing school status on the school. The matter is currently being examined within my Department and a formal response will be made to the board of management in this matter as soon as posssible.
