762 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Education and Science when the new school building for St. Anthony's special school in Castlebar, County Mayo, will be put out for tender in view of the fact that a new building was promised and approved over 12 months ago. [9210/98]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 759, 760, 761 and 762 together.

Architectural planning for the proposed new school for St. Anthony's special school, Castlebar, County Mayo, has commenced and my Department's architectural staff are currently preparing a sketch scheme. This will be furnished to the school management for approval shortly. The project will then progress through the remaining stages of the architectural planning progress. At this point, it is too early to confirm a timescale for tender invitation and construction.
