I announced a fortnight ago that I had secured Government approval for a trade sale of Cablelink. The next steps, which are currently being addressed by my Department, will be to establish a team to manage the sale and to appoint advisers to assist in this regard. All relevant issues in connection with this sale, including that raised by the Deputy, will be considered in detail to ensure a successful outcome for the State, the companies and the consumer.
