223 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Croni asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the amount of funding allocated to each local authority in 1997 and 1998 under the rural water programme. [10054/98]

Details of capital grant payments to county councils in respect of the 1997 rural water programme together with allocations for 1998 are set out in the following table.

225 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the funds sought by, or available to, Limerick County Council for the provision of group sewerage schemes or small schemes in 1998; if his Department has received a request in relation to specified schemes in 1998 from Limerick County Council; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10132/98]

A total of £753,275 has been allocated to Limerick County Council under the rural water programme for 1998. A copy of the council's submission will be forwarded to the Deputy.
