Vol. 490 No. 2

Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Fitzgerald — the action the Minister for Health and Children intends to take to deal with long queues at Joyce House, Lombard Street, and the six week delay in producing birth certificates for people who require them by post; (2) Deputy Connaughton — the need for the urban renewal status to be applied to the town of Tuam in County Galway; (3) Deputy Gormley — the retention of a teaching post at City Quay national school, Dublin 2, which is currently threatened and the need for this school to be included in the breaking the cycle scheme, the early start scheme or to be given a teacher-counsellor; (4) Deputy Neville — the need to construct a classroom and toilets at Shountrade School, Adare, County Limerick; (5) Deputy Kenny — the serious consequences for local economies of the reduction by £800,000 in the programme approved for the restoration and improvement of angling facilities; (6) Deputy Fleming — the new protocols that have been put in place to ensure there can be no future leaking of sensitive Northern Ireland green books and (7) Deputy Shatter — the need to sanction the CPOs for the construction of the Dundrum bypass and the works required to redesign the Ballinteer Road in south Dublin.

The matters raised by Deputies Kenny, Fitzgerald, Shatter and Gormley have been selected for discussion.
