John Browne

Question:

72 Mr. Browne (Carlow-Kilkenny) asked the Taoiseach the value of the Irish punt today compared to 1966. [10126/98]

Based on the consumer price index, it is estimated that £11.51 would have been required in March 1998 to buy the same quantum of consumer goods and services as £1 purchased in March 1966.
