Vol. 490 No. 5

Written Answers. - Staff Recruitment.

Seán Haughey

Question:

185 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Health and Children the plans, if any, he has to prevent the specification of age limits for applicants in job advertisements by agencies such as the Eastern Health Board. [10783/98]

Current upper age limits for recruitment purposes within the health service are in line with public service norms. I have no plans to alter the existing arrangements in relation to upper age limits.
