Question:249 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs the age profile of those contributing to the social insurance fund with corresponding figures for the years 1988 and 1978. [10761/98]
Written Answers. - Social Insurance Fund.
It has not been possible, in the time available, to extract and collate the data sought by the Deputy in respect of current contributors and those in 1988. Data in respect of the age profile of social insurance contributors in 1978 are not available at this year predates both the introduction of pay related social insurance and a computerised record system. I will make arrangements to have the other requested information supplied to the Deputy as soon as it becomes available.
