298 Mr. M. Kitt asked the Minister for Education and Science the position on improvement works at a school (details supplied) in County Galway; when approval will be given for this necessary work; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10468/98]
My Department has received an application for grant-aid towards the cost of various improvements at the school to which the Deputy refers.
The application is currently being examined within my Department's planning and building unit in terms of enrolment projections and architectural feasibility. When this examination has been completed, my Department will be in touch with the school management.
