Seán Ryan

Question:

300 Mr. S. Ryan asked the Minister for Education and Science the steps, if any, proposed to eliminate the ongoing difficulties in relation to the sewage scheme for Malahide community school in view of the fact that the problem is becoming a health hazard. [10595/98]

An application has been received in my Department in relation to the sewage system at Malahide community school. The current situation is that consultants are preparing a report on the sewage system at the school and a meeting of the consultants with technical officials of the planning and building unit of my Department has been arranged in order to progress this project. The Deputy can be assured that my Department is taking steps to deal with the situation.
