Written Answers. - Leaving Certificate Examination.
My Department does not use a norm referenced approach in marking the leaving certificate examinations. A marking scheme is devised, discussed in detail at marking conferences and applied consistently to the marking of the work of all candidates. Under this approach the work of each examiner is monitored closely as distinct from the work produced by the candidates in any one centre.
