Vol. 490 No. 5

Written Answers. - Planning Legislation.

Breeda Moynihan-Cronin

Question:

32 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when the Local Government (Planning and Development) (No. 2) Bill will be presented to the House. [10534/98]

I intend to bring forward proposals to Government before the summer holidays arising out of the comprehensive review of planning legislation which is currently being carried out by my Department and to seek approval to the drafting of a planning and development Bill that will significantly reform the existing planning code. I would hope to be in a position to present this Bill to the Dáil before the end of the year.
