Vol. 490 No. 7

Written Answers. - Dental Services.

Bernard Allen

Question:

170 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork has been waiting two and a half years for replacement dentures in view of the fact that he is receiving unemployment assistance, cannot provide them himself and applied to the Southern Health Board for these. [11002/98]

As the provision of dental treatment to eligible persons in County Cork is the statutory responsibility of the Southern Health Board I have asked the chief executive officer of the Southern Health Board to investigate the position in relation to this case and reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
