197 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will provide the necessary funding to allow stage four of the north east Kerry regional water scheme to go to tender; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11281/98]

Contract documents for this scheme have been submitted to my Department. Given the high level of commitments under the water and sewerage programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve them.
