Alan M. Dukes

Question:

211 Mr. Dukes asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the numbers of orders made under section 15(1)(d) of the Judicial Separation and Family Law Reform Act, 1989 in each year since the Act came into operation; the number of these orders which extinguished the interest of the male spouse and the female spouse; and the number of these orders that reduced the interest of the male spouse and the female spouse. [11273/98]

Courts statistics are not compiled in such a way as to provide the information sought by the Deputy. This information could only be compiled by conducting a search through all the court records for the period in question. This would require the allocation of scarce staff resources, which would not be warranted.
