224 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Education and Science the progress, if any, in the architectural planning of the sports halls for Coláiste Chiaráin Secondary School, Leixlip, County Kildare; the remaining stages that must be undertaken; the time frame expected to complete the remaining stages; if funding is available to enable the project to proceed in 1998; the expected date on which construction will commence; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10992/98]

Stage 4/5 — detailed design/bill of quantities — in respect of the project at Leixlip was received by the building unit in my Department in late April. At the present time, I cannot give an exact date for when construction is expected to commence.

[10993/98]

Architectural planning for the project at Clane is progressing. At this stage, it is not possible to say when construction will commence.
