271 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Education and Science when a person (details supplied) in County Sligo will receive his refund of registration fee for a college in view of the fact that he had just started the course when he left and in view of his financial position; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11320/98]
I understand from County Sligo Vocational Education Committee that during his period of college attendance, the student in question was not in receipt of grant-aid under the terms of the European Social Fund aided maintenance grants scheme for trainees, the relevant student support scheme in this case. Accordingly, the question of a refund of his registration fees is not a matter for my Department.
I suggest that the student take the matter up directly with the relevant college authorities.
