Question:

189 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when an appeal will be decided on an application for a person (details supplied) in County Cavan; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11726/98]

The herdowner lodged an appeal on 16 December 1997 concerning his 1997 beef cow headage application. Appeals are dealt with in the order in which they are received and require individual examination. This appeal will be dealt with in due course and the herdowner will be notified of the outcome.
