215 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a REP scheme payment will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Donegal. [11948/98]
I refer the Deputy to my reply to Question No. 155 of 28 April 1998. Following examination of the Attorney General's advice in the case it has been decided that if the applicant complies with certain requirements the case can be resolved. The applicant's solicitor has been informed accordingly.
Once the applicant satisfies these requirements, payment will issue as soon as possible.
216 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in the second payment of cow subsidy to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath; and if this payment will be made immediately. [12015/98]
The person concerned applied for ten animals on a ten month special beef premium application on 24 February 1997. To date the applicant has received £468.91, which is 60 per cent of his entitlement on nine animals. Initially there was a query in relation to one animal, which was registered by the applicant with a different date of birth to that declared on his application and cattle identity card. The details have now been amended on the registration system. Payment for this animal, along with the 30 per cent due on the remaining animals will issue within the next week.
