Question:

233 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Finance the position regarding the provision of a new Garda station at Kilmacthomas, County Waterford in view of the deplorable condition of the existing station where there is only one room fit for use; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11965/98]

The Office of Public Works is close to finalising the identification of a suitable site for a new Garda station in Kilmacthomas. Detailed planning of the new station will be put in hand when a site is secured.
