322 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the plans, if any, he has to deal with the restrictions on referenda campaigns brought about by the McKenna judgment and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12268/98]

The All-Party Oireachtas Committee on the Constitution is considering the institutions of the State, which it hopes to report on by the end of November, including referenda and the funding of them. The matter will be considered when the committee's report is published.
