Vol. 491 No. 3

Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

Jackie Healy-Rae

Question:

335 Mr. Healy-Rae asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when sanction will be given and funds provided for the extension of the Gneeveguilla water supply scheme in Killarney, County Kerry; and when the new reservoir will be built at Gullane in view of the fact that the condition of the water in Gneeveguilla is deplorable. [11706/98]

Contract documents for this scheme have been submitted to my Department. Given the high level of commitments under the water and sewerage services investment programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to advance the scheme.

Seán Doherty

Question:

336 Mr. Doherty asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when he will be in a position to provide funding for stage one of the Castlerea sewerage scheme submitted to his Department by Roscommon County Council on 4 March 1997. [11751/98]

A preliminary report on the Castlerea sewerage scheme has been submitted to my Department. Given the high level of commitments under the water and sewerage services investment programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve this proposal.
