Vol. 491 No. 3

Written Answers. - Disabled Drivers Scheme.

Nora Owen

Question:

427 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he has received the report from the working group examining the operation of the scheme of relief from tax and excise duty provided for under the Disabled Drivers and Disabled Passengers Tax Concessions Regulations, 1994; and, if so, the recommendations that this working group has made. [12200/98]

There is no group under the aegis of my Department examining the operation of the scheme of relief of tax and excise duty provided for under the Disabled Drivers and Disabled Passengers (Tax Concessions) Regulations, 1994, which govern the operation of the scheme.

However, a group is being established under the aegis of the Department of Finance for this purpose.
