436 Mr. Briscoe asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the total amount of money spent on repairs and replacement of windscreens of Garda squad cars damaged through vandalism in each of the Dublin metropolitan districts in each of the years 1996, 1997 and to date in 1998; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have been informed by the Garda authorities that the following expenditure was incurred for repairs to windscreens of Garda patrol cars due to vandalism for the years 1996, 1997 and to date in 1998.
