538 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Education and Science if he has received a request from a school (details supplied) in County Cork for improvements; the position regarding this application; and if he will make finance available in 1998 to have these improvement works carried out. [12353/98]

My Department received a request in February 1998 for grant assistance towards improvements to the electrical heating installations at the school referred to by the Deputy. The application is one of a number of projects currently being considered for funding this year.
