Question:

96 Mr. Rabbitte asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if she has received the report of the inquiry team into the Ryanair dispute; if not, when she will receive the report; if it is intended to publish the report; if she is considering any amendments to the Industrial Relations Act, 1990; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [12059/98]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 48, 69, 82 and 96 together.

As I informed the House on the 26 March last, this is a most difficult and complicated dispute. It is, therefore, proper to afford the investigators sufficient time to complete their report.

It is hoped that the report will be completed in the next few weeks. The Government will then give full consideration to its findings. Bearing in mind that it is the responsibility of the parties to a dispute to effect a resolution and because there is a public interest in this particular dispute, I would propose to publish the report.

It would not be appropriate to add anything further at this stage.
