Business of Dáil: Motion.

I move:

That notwithstanding anything in Standing Orders and the order of the Dáil that (1) the Dáil shall sit later than 4.45 p.m. today and business shall be interrupted not later than 6.00 p.m.;

(2) statements on political donations shall be taken today following the announcement of matters on the Adjournment under Standing Order 21, shall be brought to a conclusion not later than 6.00 p.m. today, and the following arrangements shall apply:

(i) Members shall be called upon in the following sequence and the statements in each case shall not exceed the times indicated: the Taoiseach and the main spokespersons for the Fine Gael Party, the Labour Party and the Democratic Left Party shall have ten minutes; a Member of the Fine Gael Party and a Member of the Labour Party shall have ten minutes; the main spokesperson for the Green Party and a representative on behalf of Independent Deputies shall have ten minutes;

(ii) Members may share time;

(iii) the Taoiseach may be called upon to make a statement in reply which shall not exceed ten minutes; and

(iv) following the statements, the Taoiseach shall take questions for a period not exceeding 40 minutes.
