37 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the action, if any, the EU has taken on foot of the recent Indian nuclear tests; and if the matter has been taken up with the Indian Government. [12440/98]

47 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the Government's view of the recent nuclear tests undertaken by India; the steps, if any, the Government has taken to convey its concern to the Indian authorities; the steps, if any, the Government intends to take to promote the signing by India of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and to discourage the spread of nuclear weapons on the Indian subcontinent; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
