75 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will restore a farm retirement pension to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare having regard to information already supplied; if so, when he will receive payment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12583/98]
The terms and conditions of the scheme of early retirement from farming require the prospective transferee to practice farming as a main occupation once he/she takes over the operation and management of the farm the subject of the pension. The transferee in this case referred to is engaged in full-time education he cannot by definition be eligible under the scheme.
