Vol. 491 No. 5

Written Answers. - Immigration Status.

John Gormley

Question:

103 Mr. Gormley asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform whether ongoing discussions have been entered into with the Government of Mexico in relation to the resident status in this country of a person (details supplied); and if his stay here is likely to involve any type of quid pro quo arrangement. [12503/98]

I am not aware of any discussions along the lines described by the Deputy. As I have stated previously, it would not be appropriate for me to provide information on the immigration status of a particular individual.
