Written Answers. - Schools Refurbishment.
The school to which the Deputy refers has applied to my Department for grant-aid towards major repairs and refurbishment. In considering a request for major work at a school, my Department usually considers if there is a possibility of rationalisation locally to cater for the area's long-term educational needs. This process is ongoing at present. The Department has written to the school management on the matter. When this issue is resolved, I will be in a position to take a decision on the funding question.
