Vol. 492 No. 5

Child Sexual Abuse in Swimming: Motion.

I move:

That the Report of the Independent Inquiry into matters relating to child sexual abuse in swimming be referred to the Joint Committee on Tourism, Sport and Recreation in accordance with paragraph (2) of the Orders of Reference of that Committee.

On a point of order, on the motion moved by the Minister, Deputy McDaid, it is a great discourtesy to the members of the select committee——

That is not a point of order. The Deputy should resume his seat.

——that we are being asked to respond to this matter without having seen the report. This is a bad start to a serious issue.

Question put and agreed to.
