218 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children if a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be reassessed for orthodontic treatment in view of the fact that a private dentist has confirmed that the treatment is necessary. [14903/98]

As the provision of orthodontic treatment to eligible persons in County Mayo is the statutory responsibility of the Western Health Board I have asked the chief executive officer of the Western Health Board to re-examine the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.

219 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason the Western Health Board is refusing to meet with a person (details supplied) in County Mayo to discuss her son's orthodontic treatment in view of the fact that Deputy Ring requested this meeting on her behalf. [14904/98]

As the provision of orthodontic treatment to eligible persons in County Mayo is the statutory responsibility of the Western Health Board I have asked the chief executive officer of the Western Health Board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.

220 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will have arrangements made for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo to be called for orthodontic treatment in view of the fact that he missed out on early treatment because the health board failed to make a dentist available.
