Vol. 492 No. 7

Written Answers. - Bereavement Counselling Service.

Austin Currie

Question:

233 Mr. Currie asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will provide funds for a counselling service (details supplied) which caters for the needs of the bereaved in the Dublin 15 area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15158/98]

As the Deputy will be aware, the provision of health services, including counselling services, in the Dublin area is a matter for the Eastern Health Board in the first instance. There is no record of an application for funding to my Department from this counselling service and I suggest that the organisation concerned contact the Eastern Health Board with a view to discussing its requirements.
