Question:316 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the Land Registry will grant possessory title to a squatter on a freehold property but will not grant possessory title to a squatter on a leasehold property; if the Law Reform Commission has examined this matter in the context of its examination of land law and conveyancing law; if he will introduce reforming legislation in order to regularise the situation of these squatters; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
