98 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will relocate a 100 foot mast due to be erected at the Garda station, Dominick Street, Kilkenny, which is in the proximity of a residential area and where the residents are concerned that their homes will be seriously devalued if this mast is erected. I am informed by the Garda authorities that the erection of a 100 foot mast at Dominick Street Garda Station will be necessary to provide adequate secure communications for a proposed new national Garda radio network. The mast is required to be erected at the Garda station for both operational and security reasons.
