Vol. 493 No. 3

Written Answers. - Orthopaedic Services.

Tony Gregory

Question:

267 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Health and Children the hospitals to which general practitioners in the Ballyfermot area, Dublin 10, may refer orthopaedic patients. [15683/98]

Prior to the opening of the new hospital at Tallaght patients from south west Dublin who required orthopaedic services were usually referred to the Meath, Adelaide, St. James's or Cappagh Orthopaedic Hospitals depending on the nature of their condition. Patients may now be referred to the new facility at Tallaght or, alternatively they may be referred to St. James's or Cappagh Orthopaedic Hospitals.
