Vol. 493 No. 3

Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

John Bruton

Question:

325 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will provide a detailed progress report in relation to the Ashbourne sewerage scheme, County Meath; and when the scheme will go to construction. [15978/98]

Meath County Council has advertised for tenders for the scheme. The closing date for the receipt of tenders is 22 July 1998. It is expected that construction will start towards the end of the year.

Gerry Reynolds

Question:

326 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when his Department will make funding available to Leitrim County Council for the provision of a sewerage scheme in Drumsna and Jamestown, County Leitrim. [16099/98]

Given the high level of commitments under the water and sewerage services investment programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to make funding available for these schemes.
