Vol. 493 No. 4

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Billy Timmins

Question:

125 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he has received a grant application for a building project at St. Patrick's Cheshire Home, Tullow, County Carlow; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16373/98]

A grant of £176,000 was approved in March 1995 towards the provision of eight units of accommodation under the capital assistance scheme. A revised application, which relates to the increased grant rate, was recently received and is under consideration. Carlow County Council, which is responsible for administering the scheme in the area, will be advised of the outcome as soon as possible.
