179 Ms O. Mitchell asked the Minister for Education and Science if his Department will fund the bridge project in special schools which was formerly EU funded and was of enormous benefit in enabling disabled children to meet their full potential. [16417/98]
My Department's capacity to fund particular projects in the special needs area is entirely dependent on resource availability and the level of competing demand across the special needs area.
I am at present reviewing provision across the special needs area to ensure that all available resources are deployed as effectively as possible.
Within this review the proposals forwarded under the bridge project will be given careful consideration.
