Vol. 493 No. 4

Written Answers. - Departmental Agencies.

Richard Bruton

Question:

57 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment whether her Department has responsibility to ensure that all its implementing agencies, processes and services are carried out in an equitable manner; if so, the arrangements, if any, in place to deal with complaints from members of the public to her Department regarding implementing agencies, processes and services; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [16391/98]

While I have no function in the day to day operation of the various agencies under my aegis, I expect that they should operate in an equitable manner. Where complaints from members of the public are received concerning these agencies, they are investigated by my Department.
