I am pursuing as a priority the funding needs at Killybegs fishery harbour centre for essential repair and development works.

Question:74 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources when work will commence on the dredging of Burtonport Harbour in County Donegal. [16542/98]
I announced, during a recent visit to Burtonport, that financial assistance of up to £500,000 will be made available for dredging of the harbour. I understand Donegal County Council is planning to undertake the work and is preparing to seek tenders for the project.
