Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the names of the Members in each case: (1) Deputy Shortall — the urgent need to amend the regulations covering the parking of heavy goods vehicles in residential areas; (2) Deputy Durkan — the subject matter of Parliamentary Question No. 408 of 13 October, 1998 regarding the withdrawal of free school transport for children attending Hewetsons School, Millicent, Clane, County Kildare; (3) Deputy Gregory — the need to reinstate teaching posts, lost in the current school year, at St. Mary's Place, national school, Dorset Street and the Central Model school, Marlborough Street, Dublin 1 in view of the extreme social disadvantage of children in both schools; (4) Deputy Finucane — the need to provide funding to the Mid-Western Health Board to enable the board meet the cost of salaries and pensions of the staff of Rathfredagh Cheshire Home, Newcastlewest, County Limerick; (5) Deputy O'Malley — the subject matter of RTE's "Prime Time" programme of 14 October, 1998 regarding the issuing of Irish passports to certain dubious foreign individuals and in particular the question of their withdrawal.

The matters raised by Deputies O'Malley, Shortall, Finucane and Gregory have been selected for discussion.
