Vol. 495 No. 3

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

Question:

63 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Health and Children his views on the concerns raised in a letter (details supplied) regarding the accident and emergency department of St James's Hospital, Dublin 8; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19901/98]

The concerns expressed in the correspondence referred to by the Deputy relate to issues which are, in the first instance the responsibility of St. James's Hospital. I have however, asked the chief executive officer of the hospital to examine and furnish a report to me on the matter as soon as possible.
