66 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if the recommendations of the Electoral Area Boundary Committee have been signed; the changes, if any, made; and, if so, when these changes will become law. [19852/98]
I have made 32 orders under section 24 of the Local Government Act, 1994, implementing the recommendations of the Electoral Area Boundary Committee Report, 1998 and the Dublin Electoral Area Boundary Committee Report, 1998. I intend to make the remaining five orders shortly. The boundary changes will be operative at next year's local elections.
